About Paul

Paul began playing the guitar at the age of nine, has performed and taught guitar professionally all of his working life and has built up an extremely successful career in both performing and teaching the guitar.

Academically, Paul has achieved the highest qualification offered by London College of Music and is an international guitar examiner. Paul regularly gives lectures at prestigious academic establishments on various guitar topics.

Paul’s first book – The Paul Hill Guitar Theory And Technique Book – was first published in 2002 and the second edition is available from the iTunes store. Paul has built on the success of his book with his guitar subscription site.

Paul loves to play all styles of guitar and this diversity of styles helps to give the Claire Barker and Paul Hill Duo a wide variation in their repertoire.
